Description

No. 30 Load Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and flats. It dates from the mid-18th century but has undergone alterations in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a tile roof with a gable end stack. It stands three storeys tall, with a gable-lit attic and cellars. The stone-coped parapet and brick-coped verges add to its architectural detail.

The building has two windows on the upper floors, which are boxed plate glass sashes set on stone sills and topped with rubbed brick heads. The ground floor features a mid-20th century bow window that is set into a rebuilt brick wall. The entrance to the property is located to the right, accessed through No. 31.
