Description
No. 61 High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed from stuccoed brick and features a tiled roof with a stack at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has a moulded cornice. To the right, there is a cast iron downpipe with a fluted rainwater head. The house has two windows on the upper floor, both of which are 8-pane sashes with plastered sills. On the ground floor, there is a similar window to the right, which has a square label above it. To the left, there is an entrance to a passageway leading to the Baptist Chapel, with the entrance to the house located in the right wall of the passage. The door to the passage has a flat head and consists of four panel leaves. Additionally, there is a hanging sign on the first floor to the left, supported by a simple iron bracket, inscribed "BAPTIST/ CHURCH," along with a signboard positioned between the entrance and the window.
