Description
This house, located about 200 meters south of Mill Cottage, dates from around 1600 and has undergone mid-19th century alterations, an early 20th century extension, and late 20th century restoration. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered infill and a half-hipped tile roof. The house consists of three framed bays aligned north to south, with a stack positioned north of the center and a baffle entrance against the stack. There is an early 20th century brick bay to the south.
The east front has two storeys and three windows, which are 2-light casements. The ground floor includes three 2-light casements with plank weatherings. The framing reveals that the two southern bays have two square panels above close-studding, while the north bay has four square panels high with curved angle braces. The north gable truss features two struts supporting the collar.
