Description

This building is a barn or granary located about 50 metres east of Little Bouts Cottage. It dates from the 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the early 19th century and 20th century. The structure is timber-framed with brick infill and some weatherboarding, standing on a sandstone plinth, and features a tile roof that is half-hipped to the east. It consists of three framed bays that are aligned east to west. The framing includes three square panels with straight tension braces, and the east gable truss has two struts supporting the collar. A detailed inspection was not possible at the time of the resurvey.
