Description

Bouts Farmhouse is a timber-frame building dating to circa 1600, with later additions from the late 18th to early 19th century and alterations in the 20th century. The farmhouse has a timber-frame structure with rendered infill, and a painted brick addition. It is arranged in an L-shape, with a timber-framed wing extending to the rear (north), an addition to the east, and a main stack to the west gable. The south front has two storeys and three windows: two 3-light casement windows flank a single-light casement, all dating to the 20th century. The ground floor features two 3-light casement windows flanking a central entrance with a four-panelled door. The rear wing's timber framing shows two square panels high above close-studding to the north gable, and four square panels high to the side walls. The roof truss includes struts to the collar.
