Description
Reedcroft Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and 20th century alterations. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill, though some of the framing has been replaced by painted brick. The cottage has a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the north gable. The building consists of four framed bays arranged in a north-south direction, with an external stack on the south gable and another stack at the south end of the north bay.
The east front has one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by three eyebrow dormers. On the ground floor, there are three casement windows, and the entrance is located to the left of centre, topped with a hipped thatched canopy. The framing features three and four square panels high, supported by straight angle braces.
