Description
Orleans Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and late 20th century alterations. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill set on a painted stone plinth, topped by a thatched roof. The cottage has a central chimney stack and a gable-end stack on the north side. It consists of three framed bays arranged in a north/south orientation and is one storey high with an attic, which is lit by two casements that are cut into the thatch. There are five windows in total, mostly 2-light casements from the 20th century. The entrance is located in the north gable, and the framing consists of two rectangular panels high.
