Description

The Black Monk is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. It is constructed of brick and has a tile roof, featuring a gable-end stack on the left and two ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with brick coped verges and a dentilled brick cornice. There are five windows, mostly 3-light casements set under segmental heads. The central entrance includes a wooden architrave, an overlight beneath a segmental head, and a six flush-panel door.
