Description
The Old Court is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and late 20th century alterations. It features a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill, partly clad in painted brick and partly made of ashlar, topped with a machine tile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with one limb extending to the north and the other to the west.
The east front includes a gable end on the left, which has a large brick stack with offsets sitting on an ashlar base, accompanied by an attached mounting block to the left. To the right, there is a two-storey range with three 20th century casement windows. A blocked entrance is located to the right of the centre, while the main entrance is found in the left-hand return front. The framing consists of four square panels high with straight angle braces.
