Description
This building is a row of cottages known as Numbers 4 (Peel Cottage), 5, and 6 (Sunny Corner), dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The cottages are constructed with a timber frame and rendered infill, topped with a thatched roof. They consist of three framed bays, featuring a gable-end stack on the eastern side and another stack located between the two western bays. The cottages are one storey high with attics, which are illuminated by three casement windows that have been cut into the thatch. The ground floor includes one window, followed by two more, and then three additional windows, all of which are 20th-century casements. The entrances are fitted with 19th-century ledged and boarded doors. The framing consists of three square panels high, supported by straight angle braces.
