Description
This building is a barn and cow house, located about 75 metres north of Walnut Tree Cottage. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and has some alterations from the late 19th century. The structure is timber-framed and weatherboarded, standing on an ashlar plinth, with some brick infill in the cow house. It features a half-hipped tile roof. The barn consists of three framed bays aligned east to west, with a central threshing floor, while the cow house extends south from the southeast corner and has five bays. The barn's framing includes single rectangular panels that are high, with straight tension braces and a queen-post roof. The cow house has an open front with straight angle braces supporting the posts of the arcade.
