Description
This building is a barn and cowhouse dating from the 17th century, with some restoration carried out in the late 20th century. It is timber-framed and sits on a plinth made of coursed rubble, topped with a roof of corrugated iron and tiles. The barn is five bays long and runs east to west, featuring a threshing floor in the center of the three eastern bays. The cowhouse extends to the south from the east end of the barn. The two western bays of the barn are floored and were previously used as a cider house. The cowhouse has two entrances on the west side and retains its interior fittings. The barn's framing consists of three square panels in height, and each truss is supported by two raking struts.
