Description

The remains of Limebrook Priory, now in ruins, date from the 13th century and were likely built for Augustinian or Austin Nuns. The structure is made of finely coursed sandstone rubble and consists of three fragments. One section is a wall that runs north to south, measuring about ten yards long and 15 feet high. There are also two smaller fragments to the east, each reaching up to about eight feet high. Limebrook Priory is designated as a scheduled Ancient Monument.
