Description
Damson Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations since then. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and brick, with a stucco finish. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features brick stacks at each end. The building has a rectangular plan that runs north to south and stands two storeys tall.
On the east elevation, there are three windows with wrought iron glazing bar casements. The two ground floor windows have painted brick segmental heads, and there is a glazed late 19th-century door located to the left of the centre. The stucco finish is lined to mimic ashlar stone. Additionally, there is a lean-to extension on the left-hand side of the building. The west elevation also features similar casements.
