Description

The Watkins Memorial, located about 15 yards north-east of the Sandys Mausoleum, is an early 19th-century chest tomb made of sandstone ashlar. It features a moulded base and a flat capping. The corners and the centre of the sides have rebates that are adorned with Doric columns that have fluted capitals. The moulded inscription panels commemorate Mary Watkins, who died in 1816, and John Watkins, who died in 1833.
