Description
These storerooms, located about 20 meters north-east of Sheriff's Lench Manor Farmhouse, were originally built as animal housing in the early 19th century and have undergone some alterations in the 20th century. Constructed from brick with a tiled roof, the building has an L-shaped plan with extensions to the west and south.
The west limb features a south front with a dentilled brick cornice and a layout of 2:1:4:1:4 bays. The wider single bays have gables above semi-circular headed recesses, and a 20th-century sliding door has been added to the bay on the right. The other bays have segmental heads with keystones and are open.
On the south limb, the west front has a roughly central gable above a semi-circular headed entry, which is flanked by two smaller gablets with semi-circular windows. To the right, there is a taller gabled block that includes a semi-circular headed recess with a lunette window. This building is included for its group value and is marked on the Tithe map of 1843 at the Hereford & Worcester Record Office.
