Description
The building is a combination farmbuilding located immediately to the east of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century with later additions. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and features a pantile roof. The structure is L-shaped and two storeys high, consisting of stables and a cowhouse with hay lofts at the west end, alongside a four-bay barn that has a three-bay return to the south-east corner. The east side of the range includes two single-storey, three-bay, open-fronted sheds of later construction that flank the entrance to the barn.
On the north side, there are four ground-floor doorways and the remnants of a basket-arched doorway, along with two rows of slit vents and various windows and boarded hatches. The right side has shaped kneelers and gable copings, while the left features a hipped roof end. The open-fronted shed on the left has wooden posts and displays the date 1873 in blue bricks on its south wall.
The left return of the barn includes a tall, central waggon entrance with a wooden lintel and brick infill beneath a basket arch, as well as a lower doorway in the same style on the opposite side. The south end of the barn's three-bay limb has two loose-boxes with round-arched openings that have been infilled with doorways and brickwork. This building holds an important location within the village.
