Description
No. 13 High Street, formerly known as The Green Door, is a house and shop dating from the late 18th century that has been remodelled. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a Welsh-slate roof with painted brick dogtooth eaves and a brick end-stack on the right.
The building has three storeys and a three-window range. On the first floor, there are horned 6/6 boxed sashes with painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. The second floor has 3/3 boxed sashes with painted sills. The ground floor includes a leaded cornice and two shallow canted bay shop-windows from 1990 with plate glazing. There is a central round-arched 20th-century doorcase with a fanlight, and at the right end, there is a round-arched passage entrance with a plank door and iron fittings. The interior has not been inspected.
