Description
No. 52 on The Green is a house dating from the early 18th century, with an early 19th-century rear wing. It is constructed of brick and rendered, topped with a machine-tile roof. The building has two storeys and features three main bays, with single-storey side bays that include arched recessed panels. The left side bay has a square opening, while the right side bay contains a board door. The central entrance features a five-panel door with an overlight, set within a 19th-century ribbed surround that includes decorative paterae, a frieze, and a cornice. The windows are predominantly 16-pane sashes, except for the one above the door, which is a sash with glazing bars. All windows are adorned with stuccoed flat arches and stone sills. The house has shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks. At the rear, there is a round-arched stair window with Gothic glazing bars.
