Description

High Thornborough Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a rendered finish and a pantile roof. The building stands two storeys high and features three main bays, with one-storey bays on both the left and right sides. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century porch and door located between the central and right-hand bays, along with 20th-century casement windows. The first floor has 12-pane side-sliding sash windows with stone sills. The eaves have a decorative band, and there are shaped kneelers with stone coping. The farmhouse has end stacks and one stack along the ridge. Inside, there is a dog-leg stair with splat balusters and an inglenook fireplace in the central ground-floor room.
