Description
This building is a probable granary and animal pen, now used as a store, located about 28 metres east of Moat End Farmhouse. It dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of brick with a plain tiled pyramidal roof. The structure is two storeys high and features a dentilled eaves cornice. It has a square plan similar to a pigeon house. The south elevation includes a wooden mullioned window on the ground floor, a blocked window on the first floor, and a blocked doorway, all with cambered heads. There is also a door on the west elevation, and on the east elevation, external steps lead up to an additional door at the first floor level. The interior is floored. This building was formerly listed in the parish of North Claines.
