Description
This stable, located about five yards north-west of The Manor, dates from the 17th century and underwent alterations in the mid-19th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill and replacement walling, topped with a plain tiled roof. The stable consists of three framed bays running north to south and has two levels. The framing includes three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with long straight braces in some lower corners, and a collar and tie-beam truss with two struts at the south gable end. The main east elevation displays two multi-paned 19th-century metal windows with cambered heads, a rectangular light at ground floor level, a hipped half-dormer to the right with a small loft door, and a central stable door along with an additional door in the north bay. The interior has not been inspected.
