Description
The stables to The Manor House are a structure dating from the 16th and 18th centuries. Originally, they may have been a timber-framed barn positioned against the road, with only the north wall currently retaining its framing. The front is constructed of brick and features a thatched roof. The building has a framework of five bays, three panels high, with corner braces and numbered studs from the right, along with brick noggings. The south side, which faces the house, was rebuilt in the 18th century and includes two stable doors and four radial lunettes. The thatch is raised over a pitching door that leads to the loft. There is an extension of one bay at the west end, which is also timber framed but has weatherboarding beneath the extension of the main roof. Inside, there is a feeding drop-in floor.
