Description
Manor Farm Cottages are a row of five cottages, now reduced to three, dating from the 17th century and extended in the 19th century. They were adapted as estate cottages. The left two bays are constructed of colourwashed rat-trap bond brick, while the next bay features flint with brick lacings, and the final two bays have an upper floor made of chalk. The cottages have a thatched roof. The two left bays are symmetrical with doors on the outer sides. The center cottage consists of three bays, with the right bay being a separate build. It features early 18th century four-panel doors and casement windows. There are two large axial stacks and the roof is half-hipped. The interior of the center bays includes moulded spine beams with ogee chamfer stops. Corner braces suggest that the building was originally timber framed, and there is an oven in the right stack.
