Description

Holmlea is an early 18th-century cottage located on the east side of Main Street, Fittleton. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings, with a rendered facade and a thatched roof. The building is single-storied with an attic, originally comprising three bays. The two bays to the right are symmetrical, featuring an early 19th-century boarded door in the centre and casement windows with segmental arches. There are flush, four-paned sash dormers in the roof. An axial stack is present. To the left of the symmetrical section is a further bay with an external gable stack and similar window arrangement. The roof is hipped to the left, and a 19th-century service outbuilding is attached.
