Description

These stables, dating from circa 1700, were altered at a later date. They are timber-framed with reddish-brown brick, largely painted and rendered, and have a corrugated asbestos roof. The layout is L-shaped. The exterior features two exposed padstones topped with studs and arched braces. The stable openings are fitted with split-plank doors alongside 3/3 sash windows. The interior retains a complete range of tie-beam trusses with queen struts and clasped principals. The stables contribute to the group value of nearby buildings including Manor Farmhouse, the Barn Range, and the Cart Shed with Stable and Hayloft.
