Description

This is a terrace of four houses located on The Square in Redditch. The houses date to the mid-18th century, with alterations carried out in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of painted brick with a plain and machine-tiled roof, featuring a central ridge stack and two stacks at the rear. The houses are single-storied with an attic, incorporating dormers. Each house has five bays, with five ground floor windows featuring three lights and cambered heads. There are five gabled dormers, each with a two-light window. Each house has an entrance with a moulded flat canopy, a pilastered surround, and a ledged and battened door. The interior of No. 15 was inspected and features substantial ceiling beams and a winder staircase. The brickwork of Nos. 13 and 15, along with the interior of No. 15, suggests they were built earlier than Nos. 9 and 11.
