Description

This is a mounting block, formerly a cross base, located approximately 20 metres southeast of Herbert's Farmhouse. It dates back to the medieval period and is made of stone. The block is currently inverted, with the socket buried. It has a square plan with a flat top, and the lower part is octagonal with pyramid stops.
