The cross base located approximately 170 metres north of Mitton Green Farmhouse, on the B6243, is likely of medieval origin. It is made of sandstone and shows significant wear. The base has a square shape with sloping sides, and the top features a rectangular socket. It is set on a more recent sandstone block, which also has a square plan.
