Description

Mitton Bridge is a bridge over the River Ribble, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and features three segmental arches with rounded cutwaters. The bridge has a solid parapet that includes a string course and weathered coping. On the southern parapet, there is an inscription that reads 'LITTLE MITTON LANCASHIRE. GREAT MITTON YORKSHIRE'.
