Description

Windsor Cottage is a 17th-century cottage, with alterations and extensions added in the mid-20th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill, brick replacement walling and refacing, and a tiled roof. A large external brick chimney is present, with a detached stack at the right gable end and another in the rear central bay. The cottage has three framed bays and is single storey with an attic containing dormers. The timber framing features mainly square panels, three from sill to wall-plate, with queen strut trusses partly visible at both gable ends. The front elevation has irregular window placement, including three ground floor casements with plank weatherings, and three flat-roofed casement dormers. To the right of the central bay is an entrance with a flat canopy supported by cast iron and trelliswork, leading to a door with raised and fielded panels. The interior remains uninspected. 20th-century extensions have been added to the rear.
