Description

Park Farm Cottages comprise an early 18th-century outbuilding and three later 19th-century hop kilns, subsequently converted into four dwellings. The outbuilding is constructed of brick, incorporating some timber-framing within end and partition walls, and has a tiled roof extending over seven bays. The east gable end reveals a tie-beam truss with a collar and two struts. Three hop kilns are located; two at the west gable end and one to the rear. These are brick-built with square bases and slate roofs, each finished with square, louvred wooden ventilators. The hop kilns are two storeys in height. The dwellings feature 20th-century casement windows and doors throughout. The interiors have not been inspected, and 20th-century extensions are present at the rear. The property is included on the heritage register for group value.
