Description
Pebbles is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill and a tiled roof, which was formerly thatched. An external brick chimney with a rebuilt stack is located at the left gable end. The cottage has two framed bays and is a single storey with an attic that includes a dormer. The framing is partly visible at the rear, showing relatively large panels, with two extending from the sill to the wall-plate and a truss that is just visible in the left gable end, likely of the queen strut type.
On the front elevation, there is a six-pane sash window with a cambered head to the left, and a central doorway also with a cambered head, featuring a 20th-century door to the left bay. The right bay has a small rectangular light on the ground floor and an eyebrow dormer at eaves level with a casement window. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there is a timber-framed single storey wing with a hipped tiled roof that adjoins the left gable end, encasing the external chimney stack.
