Description

TENBURY CP LOWER BERRINGTON SO 56 NE 2/105 Barn and adjoining outbuilding about 25 yards south-east of Lower Town Farmhouse

GV II

Barn and adjoining shelter shed. Early C19 or possibly older. Coursed dressed rubble with ashlar dressings and slate roof with gable-end parapets. Four bays aligned north/south; wagon bay with opposed cart entries and double doors situated in second bay from north end. Two tiers of ventilation slits. Door with four-centred head in west elevation. Interior: roof has intermediate king-post trusses. Outbuilding adjoining north-west is timber-framed and weatherboarded with a slate roof. Single storey. South elevation has two doors and a through-passage adjacent to Lower Town Farmhouse (qv).
