Description
This is a barn and attached outbuildings located to the north of Wick Street House, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, although there is some evidence of earlier construction. The structure is built from squared limestone rubble and features stone slate roofs. The barn is oriented gable-end to the road and has two storeys. On the left side, there are two over three-light stone mullioned casement windows with stopped hoods, and on the far right, there is a two-light window without a hood, along with a central early plank door. The opposite side of the barn has an eaves stack to the right of a pair of 20th-century doors beneath a timber lintel. The barn consists of four and a half bays, with an A-frame and tie, and two flush purlins. The inner gable end of the barn features a well-crafted plank door with a peaked head. Attached to the left and set back beyond a through-way is a lower building with one and a half storeys, which has two narrow conjoined wings extending back on the right side. Closer to the house, there are two wide set gables, one of which has nine-row pigeon openings above two two-light windows.
