Description
This is a milepost located in Burford, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and features two angled name plates connected by a sloping top plate. The support post is angle-section with curved brackets. The milepost has raised edges and lettering, indicating distances to Tenbury (1 mile), Ludlow (8 miles), and Lemster (10 miles). The top plate is inscribed with "BURFORD PARISH."
