Church House

Church House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of finely-jointed handmade brick and features plain tiled roofs. The building has a brick stack at the right end of the front pitch, which includes a dentilled course at its base. The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-course band at the first floor level, along with dentilled courses above and below the attic storey level at the gable ends.

The structure consists of four bays, with windows that have gauged flat heads, all of which are wood mullion and transom type. The main entrance is located in the third bay and features a curved lead canopy, a round archway with a moulded architrave, a door with four flush panels, and a traceried fanlight. There is an attic light at the right end of the building. The windows at the ends and rear have cambered heads with blue brick header detail. At the rear, there are two wings; the right wing has a large external end chimney, while the left wing has 19th-century additions at its gable end. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in May 1987.
