Description
This is a milepost located in Burford, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features two angled name plates connected by a sloping top plate. The support post is angle-section with curved brackets. The milepost has raised edges and lettering, indicating distances to Tenbury (1/4 mile), Ludlow (9 miles), and Lemster (11 miles). The top plate is marked with "BURFORD PARISH."
