Description
No 42-43 in Eardiston is a house that was formerly divided into two dwellings. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from coursed dressed sandstone rubble with brick dressings. The roof is machine-tiled, featuring a ridge stack at the left end and another to the right of the center. The building has two storeys and a modillion eaves cornice at the rear.
It has four bays, with pointed windows that include Y-tracery. There is also a small two-light casement window on the ground floor between the first and second bays. The central gabled porch has an embattled gable parapet and a blind pointed window. On either side of the porch, there are pointed archways leading to ledged and battened entrance doors for each dwelling.
