Description
No 117 in Winsley Village is a house that was originally two separate homes, built in the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a pantiled roof with coped gables and end stacks. The building has two storeys and two doorways at the centre; one doorway is blocked, while the other has a six-panel door with a hood supported by brackets. Each side of the house has a single window range. On the left side, there is a 16-pane sash window below and a large pair of casement windows above. The right side has a small pair of casement windows on each floor, which appear to be older. An 1841 Tithe map indicates that a longer range was present at that time, which included three houses.
