Description
Priors Mill is a former corn mill that has been converted into a house. It dates back to the 17th century and features later additions from the 20th century. The building has a red brick ground floor, with a timber-framed structure that includes some brick and rendered infill, topped by a tiled roof. It is two bays wide and has a later stack on the left gable, along with a 20th-century wing extension at the rear.
The property stands two storeys high with an attic, and it has two-light wooden casements, with two on the first floor and one on the ground floor. There is a simple casement that serves as a sidelight to the doorway, which is a simple plank door located to the left. Above this, there is another doorway on the first floor. The mid-rail is made of brick, and the building was formerly timber-framed with two panels that have brick infill up to the former eaves level. The roof has been raised later by two smaller panels with painted rendered infill, and there is weather planking at the former eaves level. An external wheel is located on the right-hand gable, and some internal machinery remains, although it is not intact.
