Farmhouse. Early C17, altered and extended in C19 and mid-C20. Timber- framed on brick plinth, wattle-and-daub and brick infill, brick replacement walling and refacing, part pebble-dashed, part weatherboarded, tiled roofs, one large and 2 small brick external stacks to rear south elevation. L-shaped plan; main range of 3 framed bays with single bay wing to north, at east end. Two storeys. Framing not visible from exterior. North elevation facing farm- yard: probably original entrance elevation. Main part has a C20 casement to both ground first floors; there is a blocked doorway to left. North wing gable end also has a C20 casement to ground and first floors. Interior: roof has double, trenched purlins, trusses not exposed. Framing exposed at first floor level; large square panels. Main beams are stop-chamfered; cross-beamed ceiling to east end main range. A C19 extension adjoins the west gable end; also C19 outshut to south.
