Farmhouse. Early C17 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-framed with painted brick and rendered infill, brick refacing and replacement walling, partly rendered with tile-hung gable ends; machine-tiled roof. L-plan; main part of three framed bays aligned north/south; central chimney bay with four diagonal brick ridge stacks; two-bay south-east wing with large external sand- stone chimney and rebuilt brick stack to north side. Two storeys. Framing: some close-set studding at ground floor level visible to north-east; two rows of panels with long straight lower corner braces at north end and north side of east wing; no trusses visible. Main west elevation: ground floor has two 3-light casements and a single-light casement; all have cambered heads; three first floor 2-light casements. South side elevation refronted in mid-C19; three bays; two canted bay windows on ground floor with 3-light first floor casements above; central first floor 2-light casement; central main entrance has a gabled timber porch with moulded finial and glazed sides and a 4- panelled door with a cambered head. Interior said to have large back-to- back fireplaces.
