Description
Green Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was enlarged in the 19th century. The building features a mix of construction styles, including part timber-framed with painted brick infill, as well as brick walling and refacing. It has two spans of tiled roofs and brick end stacks on the front range, along with a large brick external stack at the rear. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a regular arrangement of windows, with two casements on the ground floor and three on the first floor, all featuring gauged flat heads. The central 19th-century timber door is accompanied by a barred rectangular fanlight and a gabled canopy. The rear range reveals exposed timber framing at the first floor level in the gable ends, showcasing three square panels to the tie-beam and queen strut trusses in the gable ends. The interior has not been inspected, and there is a 19th-century extension at the rear.
