Description
This building is an outbuilding, originally a cowhouse, located about 10 metres east of Foster's Green Farmhouse. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some late 20th-century alterations. The structure is timber-framed and weatherboarded, resting on a plinth made of sandstone and brick, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It consists of four framed bays arranged in a north-west to south-east alignment. The bay located to the south-east of the center is open-fronted on the south-west side, while the other three bays feature low entrances on the same front. The framing includes two square panels high with straight angle braces, and the intermediate trusses have two raking struts. The gables are supported by two struts leading to the collar. This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
