Description

No. 2 Handsworth Park is a small villa built around 1830-1840, located on a corner site. The building is two storeys high and has a three-bay front. It features a first-floor sill band that extends to the sides, and there is a blind window above the entrance door. The windows are later 19th-century sashes set in plain reveals. The roof is low, hipped, and covered with slate, featuring flat eaves and flaking stuccoed chimneys. The entrance has a Tuscan pilastered doorway with an entablature and cornice, and the door consists of four moulded panels with a rectangular fanlight above. On the south side, there is a pilastered canted bay window on the ground floor, which has a projecting cornice.
