Description
The Endwood Public House is a three-storey inn built around 1840, located on Hamstead Road in Lozells. The building features a stucco exterior with a rusticated ground floor and a first-floor still course on both main fronts. The entrance elevation on the north side has three bays and is highlighted by a porch with coupled Doric columns and a deep entablature. The first-floor windows are framed with eared architrave surrounds, while the second-floor windows have consoles and architraves. There is a shallow break in the centre of the façade. To the east, there is a two-storey wing with one bay, which includes a console and a parapet. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring moulded soffit eaves. The west front has three plus one bays, with the south bay slightly recessed, and the upper floors maintain the same window arrangement. The ground floor showcases early 20th-century pilastered doorways with key entablatures and projecting Doric cornices, along with blocking courses.
