Description

Calthorpe Cottages, now divided into four separate dwellings, are a group of estate cottages likely originating in the 17th century, with substantial development in the mid-18th century. The cottages are constructed of red brick with a tile roof and have a single storey plus attic. Originally, the ground floor featured windows with segment-headed casements, although some of these have been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The original doorways were also segment-headed. The eaves are stepped and cut by gabled semi-dormers. Number 1 has been altered with a modern glazed porch.
