Description
This is an 18th-century house, altered around 1840. It is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays, with a recessed bay to the left and a coach house on the right. The front is stuccoed with a slate roof. The ground floor features banded rustication and a central door flanked by Doric columns supporting an entablature with three wreaths in the frieze and two plain windows. Above, the first floor has three windows in moulded frames, sitting on a string course. All the windows are sash windows with glazing bars. An eaves cornice includes a moulded frieze. A window has been added to both floors of the left-hand bay. Group Value: The building contributes to the group value of Edgbaston.
