Description
No. 38 Harborne Road is a building dating from around 1835, located in Edgbaston, Birmingham. It is two storeys high and features three bays, constructed from stucco with a slate roof. The ground floor displays banded rustication and has a central door flanked by Doric columns, which support an entablature adorned with two wreaths in the frieze, along with two plain windows. The first floor contains three windows set within moulded frames, positioned above a string course. The windows are mostly sash style, featuring glazing bars. The eaves cornice is detailed with a moulded frieze. The left side of the building has a return to Highfield Road, which includes a two-storey bay window at the center.
